Bullying

Bright Ideas Psychology provides counselling for dealing with bullying at school and at home. You and your child will gain effective strategies to deal with the bulling situation and to regain a feeling of confidence in relationships with friends.

Being bullied can happen to anyone and there are many examples of famous people who have spoken about being bullied at school. There are different types of bullying such as physical, verbal, relational (being left out on purpose, spreading rumours etc) and cyber bullying.

Over time, children who are being bullied can come to think negatively about themselves and can find it more difficult to get on with their peers. Counselling with Bright Ideas Psychology provides your child with specialist intervention to increase emotional resilience to bullying situations and decrease the incidence and impact of being bullied in both primary and secondary schools.

A referral is not necessary; however clients can obtain an $81.79 rebate per session from Medicare if they obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from their Doctor. Rebates from many Health Insurers are also available.
