The Bright Ideas Approach

Bright Ideas offers coaching and psychology based on positive psychology techniques. We are passionate about helping individuals at work increase their happiness and engagement. Our aim is to help clients that are struggling with their career – whether they are at risk of burnout, unhappy at work or whether they are just not engaged with what they do. We help them to create a world at work that has them flourish and thrive, where they can maintain their peak performance. We also work with performers of any kind, such as musicians, actors, sports professionals and dancers to help them develop techniques to enhance and maintain peak performance.

Bright Ideas is also committed to creating positive workplaces where employees flourish. We act as consultants to organizations, implementing cutting edge positive psychology research, which increases productivity, wellbeing at work, decreases absenteeism and presenteeism, as well increasing psychological engagement of employees. Due to our specialized psychology background, we have a specialized understanding of complex human behaviour in the workplace, which means that we often consult for medium/large business on challenging personalities and difficult workplace situations, creating substantial changes.

Sarah-Jayne McCormick

I am an experienced Coaching & Positive Psychologist, and am passionate about helping individuals at work increase their happiness and engagement. My aim is to help clients that are struggling with their career – whether they are at risk of burnout, unhappy at work or whether they are just not engaged with what they do. I help them to create a world at work that has them flourish and thrive, where they can maintain their peak performance. I also work with performers of any kind, such as musicians, actors, sports professionals and dancers to help them develop techniques to enhance and maintain peak performance.

I am also committed to creating positive workplaces where employees flourish. Due to my background as a Forensic Psychologist, I have a specialized understanding of complex human behaviour in the workplace, which means that I often consult for medium/large business on challenging personalities and difficult workplace situations, creating substantial changes.

Whilst completing my PhD in the area of applying mindful techniques on the fly to build resiliency at work for individuals in highly demanding roles, I also provide psychological consultancy/commentary to the media and performance industry on a regular basis.

I have the pleasure of working with large multi-national companies as well as individual executives, including Google, Alliance, the NRL, Channel 7, Vodafone, Gallagher Basset, Employers Mutual, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Think Education, major Sydney schools, actors, dancers and music professionals, and current Olympic athletes.
